Can Lee Walk the Talk?

Lee is by far one of the most effective educators with whom I’ve worked during my educational career…She never wavers in her belief that all students can improve. She also believes that all teachers are capable of gaining additional skills and strategies to help students succeed… She is a teacher of teachers…a mentor and a valuable resource…Her enthusiasm for facilitating school excellence is infectious.  (Kay Cavanaugh)

Mrs. Slichter is extremely well-organized, is devoted to thoroughly researching topics relevant to whatever task in which she is involved, and has an ability to plan and deliver that is very rare…While many strive for competence, Lee Slichter strives for excellence…she delivers results…I can state that our school is a better place because (she was here). (Steve Morben).

Lee demonstrates excellence…she is willing to think outside the box…She is good to work with and has a great rapport with students, parents, staff, and administrators. (Matt Schriver)

Lee Slichter epitomizes integrity, hard work, kindness, and respect for her profession and her students.

I had the privilege of working with Mrs. Slichter (for five years). Lee taught 5th grade and I had 6th grade. Her expectations were precise and she definitely got the most out of each and every minute throughout the day. Her students were continually working curriculum standards in exciting and innovative ways.  Lee is one of the most inspiring teachers I have ever been around. With my thirty-five years of experience in education, I have worked with many talented and motivated teachers, however, Lee has taught me another way to teach. She has shown me how her dedication, love for her student, and true commitment to their overall education has been successful. Mrs. Slichter’s leadership in fifth grade paid off, as her students showed as much as two years’ improvement in only one year!

…Mrs. Slichter is probably the most passionate person I have had the privilege to work with in education…and she sets a high standard of excellence for herself and others. (Julaine Reynen)
